Backups are boring until you need them. Then they are everything. As of this month, every hosting plan we sell, including the entry-level Cloud Lite, includes free automatic off-server backups retained for 30 days.
What we back up
Everything in your cPanel home directory: all websites, databases, mailboxes, DNS zones, and your cPanel configuration itself. Restoring a full account is a single click in JetBackup.
How often
Every 24 hours, with the most recent 7 days available as immediate restore points. Days 8 to 30 are available within 5 minutes (they live in our cold archive).
Where the backups live
Off-server in a separate data centre. If a server fails completely (rare but it happens), your backups are untouched and we can restore your entire account to a new server within an hour.
How to restore
- Open cPanel and search for JetBackup.
- Pick the date you want.
- Choose what to restore: a file, a database, a mailbox, or the full account.
- Click Restore. Most operations complete in under 60 seconds.
Why this matters
About 1 in 30 of our clients ends up restoring from a backup at some point, usually after a botched plugin update, a deleted file, or (rarely) a security incident. Having a clean recent backup turns a disaster into a 60-second annoyance.
